The Belgian Building Research Institute (BBRI) is a research institute that promotes applied research in the Belgian construction industry, in order to increase its competitiveness. Its ‘geotechnics’ division in particular played a major role in the recent awareness campaign in favour of geothermics in the Flemish region.
The BBRI is therefore an ideal intermediary between the Brugeo project and the industry (designers and installers of geothermal systems). In addition, the BBRI has the expertise and equipment needed to carry out thermal response tests (traditional or enhanced) that are planned as part of the Brugeo project.
